How much is rent in Los Angeles?

Gas is around $4.50/gallon.

If you're living anywhere near UCLA you'll need at least 3K a month if you have a couple of roommates (that includes utilities, food, books, transportation and minimal entertainment). But if you're willing to commute from the east side or the east Valley you may be able to survive for 2K a month. In general groceries are cheap (not in Westwood where UCLA is located), but rent is expensive everywhere as few in L.A. can qualify for a mortgage so it's a city where grown adults are often still renting.

Rent would be around $1700-3000 a month.

go to realtor.com, put in your zipcode of choice, and click on RENTAL

I would like to move to Los Angeles because i'm planning to go to UCLA to study in order to be a doctor. I'm just wondering how much rent for a one bedroom apartment that is in a good safe place, transportation, and groceries would cost per month if i were to movie to LA?
