There are many different insurance policies that would cover many different things in a policy. Also the amount of the deductible would play a role in what you would be charged for an insurance policy.
You are too far ahead of your dream in being able to purchase a million dollar house in February. This would be a problem that would easily be solved during the purchase escrow and prior to the closing of your purchase, even if you would not be applying for a mortgage loan.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
"FIGHT ON"
Not enough information even to hazard a guess. Your insurance isn't so much based upon the total value of the house and land, as it is on the replacement value of the house (apart from the land) and its contents. You should save yourself from any misinformation and simply shop the rate your get from your insurance company with at least one competitor. Generally speaking you are likelier to get a better rate from the provider that insures your other aspects of life (car, life, etc).
Just reading your other posts, only last year you were 17 years old and making $5k a year working in a tent company, so if you are moving this is likely to mom and dad's house and their bill to pay !
you'll need to call several insurance agents for quotes - they will need sq footage, # of rooms, age of house and other details - no one here can give you a realistic answer without all that info
Depends a lot on your credit, and the houses age, condition etc.
my 200k value home with 5K deductible in urban area cost 600...probably 2000....a whole lot less can go wrong in your community...call my agent
Troll.
In February I will most likely be buying a 1-2 million house, which is a huge leap from what I am currently living in. I would like to know how much home owners insurance would be for a 1-2 million dollar house. If anyone can give me a rough estimate that would be awesome, thanks!
House details:
State: Michigan
Location: Private gated area (Not by water)
(I know i should be asking my insurance company, but i want to know a rough estimate fairly soon)
