You can avoid having to learn hrml/css programming by using a blog platform, if you use paid hosting, typically costing $8 a month your host would probably have an easy installer for Wordpress, the industry standard blog engines (about 17% of the top 1 Million sites are Wordpress) you could design a custom header and logo.
A free host is sufficient for may small businesses, Google's blogger.com is the the biggest, with it's own simpler blog program. It's faiely tolerant of commercial activity and does not have paid upgrades like many of the other 'free' hosts. You can use your own custom domain name bought elsewhere for about $10/yr. otherwise you are given a subdomain, sort of like a PO Box address: yourbusiness.blogspot.com
To get a feel for blogger sites, try doing a Google search for: site:blogspot.com your interest
(all the shown sites will be totally free ones without a custom domain)
Any local business with an address should get a free Google Places page, they are easy to get onto page one of the search results, places pages have the A-G stick pin symbols in the Google search results.
First, you have to purchase web hosting. Go for an established and reliable web host such as http://buywebspacetoday.com/links/just-h... -- they offer affordable hosting and all the features you need for a typical website.
Once you get your hosting, go to your control panel and look for Fantastico. Use this tool for a one-click install of Wordpress, a content management system that will allow you to create pages, write posts, add links, edit the design, and basically do a lot of stuff to create an awesome website.
oh wow, I had the same issue with my last boyfriend
the thing is, he really is busy and I know you like him, but it sounds like you need a guy that will be more reliable and that you can depend on
maybe in the summer it will work, but right now he just can't find time...sorry! I hope things work out though!

I'm trying to start a small little website for a local business, I am experienced with Photoshop so I can design the website but I don't know what programs to use or how to get started. What would be the best way to make one if I have skills in creating images?
