You call your county Housing Authority. You have to take on a tenant they send you with a one year lease and be subject to inspection once a year and initially. You are limited to 80% of market value for rent. A tenant will have a voucher indicating how many bedrooms they can rent and the county pays you directly most of the rent. You can reject any tenant whose background doesnt check out.

REENZZ and RP make an important point. Your HOA may not allow Section 8 rentals.

Contact your local HUD office AFTER verifying with your HOA that you can rent your unit at all, never mind Section 8.

You also need to check with the HOA and see if you allow to rent and allowed to rent to section 8.

I live in Arizona and have a condo that I would like to make a section 8 housing. Everything is up to code I just don't know where to start the paper work or the process if anyone can point me in the right direction.
