Yeah, getting a ride from a friend is the only option I can think of. It's really best to not have random people from craigslist coming to your home anyway. Always meet in a public place when dealing with CL people. Another option is to put the guitar on consignment at a local music store. They will want 20% - 25% commission, but at least you don't have to be there for folks to try it out. Then when it sells you just run by the store and pick up the money.

Either just explain the situation to your parents, or get a ride from a friend. They'll probably want a cut though. ;)

Your mom will eventually figure out that it is gone. So no point in being secret now.

I put an acoustic guitar ad up on Craigslist for $130, but my mom doesn't know it's there, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm trying to sell things for money to put towards my first car, so this is my resort. I can get the wanters and buyers, but I don't know where to I the exchange at. I can't do it at home because my moms always home, I don't have my license, and I live in the middle of nowhere, so can't walk to some place. Where/can I do the money->guitar exchange at safely and secretly?
