You do not understand what paying in advance means. Rent is always supposed to be paid in advance. This means you pay at move in for two weeks. After two weeks, you have used up all your rent money and you pay again in advance. When your rent is due, your rent is due because you have no more credit from paying in advance. If you pay late, you are late.
Everyone pays rent in advance, most people pay a month in advance. You can't just "not pay" this week.
