I think i am being used for money?

Confusing as you seem to be living in the U.K. yet you use Americanisms...I'm assuming you're from GB . You should remind your mother in law that she needs to pay tax on your income, also check to see if she's claiming Housing benefit as if she lives alone in the house, if she does then you can get her on that one too...she could get in trouble if she's not declaring the income that you give her...tell her that she's charging you too much as the rent on the entire house won't be that much a week, also you could put in a claim for housing benefit ...when she realises that she's likely to get into trouble she may see sense and charge a reasonable rent.

How much is your mother in law paying in rent for the house? Does she pay the council tax? Although you say you wash your own clothes and do your own cooking I assume that you use her appliances? You need to work out what benefits she is losing by having you there and then you will know whether it is fair or not.

If you are in the UK and your mother in law is in a Council House you are not allowed to live there and she certainly cannot charge you rent.

How much is a room rental in the local area.?

How much is the full rent to the council?

120 per week for a room is too expensive. You should sort things out and talk about it.

If you don't like the rent, by all means move elsewhere.

You will have to negotiate with her. How much rent is she paying herself, sounds like she is making a profit out of you.

UK

sneak into America, break no law other than illegal entry and give birth to a legal citizen...you keep it and you stay pending a criminal background check...instead of her momma, your momma Obama will take care of you

me, my mrs and my daughter are staying with my mrs's mom for a while till we can start saving for our own place, we live in a council house i feel she is charging us way to much rent considering we live in one room. we are currently being charged £120 per week. i am always broke and we cant afford to save to move out. We buy our own food and wash our own clothes. We buy toilet roll for everyone to use and always help with gas and electric aswell as the £120 a week. Can anyone help with advice
