Assuming you're over 18 someone might rent to you but they are going to want 2 months rent plus a security deposit, proof of a couple years of steady employment and expect the expenses in the other answers. Your $1,200.00 is gone before you start.

I don't see how you can afford to move out.

Rent a room in someone else's house or share an apartment with a friend. I hope you have $12,000, not just $1,200.

Rent, deposit, gas, electricity, cable, internet, car insurance, car payments, food, entertainment, etc.

12k in the bank is good. You might be able to make it work out but you will be on a tight budget.

What about electricity, gas, insurance, you getting sick or injured, car breaking down, losing your job.....it's possible. You should have enough saved up to be able to survive 6 months if you lose your job.

12,000 yes... 1,200 no. On my first apartment I spent over 1,000 in one week just getting (used) furniture, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, etc... and I already had been stocking up on stuff. Good luck, it's expensive.

Okay I'm wanting to move into my own apartment as soon as possible so I'm giving myself a month to save. I make about 880 every two weeks. I have a car note that's 320, rent I'm looking at no more than 595 so with rent, my car and water bill that'll be about 950 .. With more for groceries. Think I'll be okay?
