I was wondering if these are legit or somehow a scam?
Thanks
Andrew
It's a scam. The two main scams are
1 - the items you are selling are stolen -- phones, laptops etc. Once the buyer discovers this, they report to the police and you get arrested for selling stolen goods
2 - the items you are selling do not exist. This person will send you photos of items asking you to list them, collect payment, keep a % and send the balance to them, and they say they will ship the item once they get the money. But they don't ship anything. When the buyer files an Item Not Received dispute, your Paypal account will be debited the full amount. If you do this multiple times and it gets reported, Ebay will contact the police
Remember, you are not supposed to sell anything that you do not legally own, you have not verified that it is as described, and YOU arrange the shipping to the buyer's verified address and have signed proof of delivery. You have NO protection as a seller if someone else ships the item
There is NO reason why someone would pay a complete stranger to list items on Ebay unless they were either selling stolen goods and wanted someone else to take the fall, involved in illegal activity, or their Ebay account was closed because they were scamming people
Want to prove it's a scam - tell them you will only list the items if you can inspect them first and ship them out from your home and keep the shipping receipt. I can guarantee they will not let you do this - because they are running a scam
no this is a scam. it has a name (i can't remember) and is well known accross the states, the british sun newspaper has an article online, this scam alone is supposed to be worth $100 million every year!

I was looking on Craigslist and saw that people are willing to pay me to sell their products on my Ebay account.
