When I experienced my first legit modelling agency I saw the big difference this people are professional and casual with little chit chat maybe depending on how long you've been with them like when I went in for a VTR they just asked me to stand in front of the camera say my name, age, say the lines needed, do a bit of acting/posing for the camera and then I am out of there. unlike the scams wherein the photographer or "agent" is seemingly too close for comfort and asking you to say or do inappropriate things .
Call the agency and ask them if they require anything from you before dropping by. If they are offering lessons then most likely thats just what it is a modelling course and not an actual agency.
modelling agencies of all kinds ( except a very honest few)
make most of their money " training" people how to be models and
making up photographic portfolios.
if they charge a registration fee or want to sellyou photoshoots and "classes"
walk away
real modelling agencies pay YOU
not the other way around.
if you didn't sigh up for it, or they charge you a fee it's a scam
I would say BIG SCAM
I was recently contacted by a modelling agency, they say they would like to schedule an interview with me this Saturday. I was searching up online to see what to wear, and I came across articles talking about scam agencies. What really threw me off was the articles read that most agencies try to scam you by charging you for classes and portfolios, based on this ad, would it be safe to go? Or am I just wasting my time
