as stated, i have talked to him about it and he doesn't care. He wants us to keep his junk.
Look up if the state law about mold you can break you lease if landlord doesn't fix the problem usually and get the full deposit back as mold cause health problems
Tell him
my landlord has a bunch of gross old junk in the basement, including a box of books, cans of paint, bags of cement, an old broken central vac system, a bed, etc...
The basement flooded a month ago, and has flooded every year for the past 3 years (so say the neighbors).
All the junk in the basement is ruined and moldy and looks as though they have been through many floods before.
I told the landlord about the condition of his junk and he says just keep it.
He has not been to the home in years and doesnt understand this stuff is slimy, moldy and disgusting.
My lease says i need to allow 10% of the basement for the landlords belongings, however i think if it is a health hazard i should have the right to throw it out, yet he says no and is making me keep it.
What should i do?
