Lease is up, when do i move out?

You need to READ your lease. It is a legal contract and not all leases are the same.

Some leases automatically renew unless you fulfill certain criteria.

Some leases turn into a month-to-month rental agreement unless you fulfill certain criteria.

Most likely you will have to give at least 30 days' notice if you want to move out on June 30th.

There is nothing stopping you from giving notice for July 3 or 7 or whatever day you want, but rent is usually (not always) paid for the ENTIRE month. Meaning if you aren't out on June 30 you very likely have to pay for all of July no matter which day you move.

Yes you need to be out by midnight June 30th! You need to give the landlord 30 day written notice that you will be leaving at the end of the current lease and must pay for the entire month even if you decide to leave early. Good Luck

You need to give proper 30 day notice to vacate on or before June 1st. You don't have to stay in the unit through the 30th but you are required to pay rent for the full month. So when to ask to move in to he new place just depends on if you have the money to pay both the full rent at the unit your leaving & partial rent for the new place.

Yes you must be fully moved out on or before June 30 and return the keys. If you remain in the unit even just a couple days they will charge you.

Unless you are in California, you have to give your written notice (30 days or however much is stipulated in your lease) prior to the beginning of the next rental period. You have until the last day of your lease to vacate; if you stay past that date, you will owe more rent (possibly a full month's rent regardless which day you actually vacate)

Unless it specifically states, you do not need to move out at the end of your lease. You become a month-to-month tenant or the landlord will ask you to sign a new lease. If you want to move at the end of your lease, you need to notify the landlord in writing before the end of May. Then you need to be all moved out with the place clean and keys returned before June 30. Otherwise, you will have to pay July rent or the landlord may evict you for failure to vacate.

This is my first time renting an apartment and Im a little confused on how this works. My lease is up on June 30th. Im looking for my next apartment but when should i ask to move in? Do i and all my belongings have to be out of my current place right on the 30th of June? Do I have a couple days to get out of here?
