Looking to move to Virginia and need some opinions?

Pet friendly in the city probably isn't going to happen for much less than twice or three times your $700 limit.

You can go onto classified pages of the cities you are interested in and you can also search sites like http://www.forrent.com to see what kind of prices you are looking at.

There are only about 8 cities in VA with 150,000 people or more. In Arlington, studios in good buildings start at about $1500. In Norfolk, pet friendly 2 bedrooms look like they start at about $1200. http://www.forrent.com/apartment-communi...

If you are in nursing school, you can't switch programs mid-stream. You may need to wait until you are done, take the NCLEX, and get your VA license.

Good Luck

For $700 a month you'd better be a LOT LESS picky. Rent isn't cheap in Virginia, unless you want to move to some po-dunk town out in the middle of nowhere.

$700.00 per month for a 2 bedroom decent area. You are dreamers.

before you actually start looking for a place to live, what about getting jobs. It sounds like your "changing into nursing" will require schooling.

My fiance and I are from New York and looking to move a bit more south. We were looking at Virginia after seeing that gay marriage was made legal there. We are both college students, she's graphic design and I'm changing into nursing. We don't make much, and aren't looking to pay much more than 700 a month for rent. We are looking for a pet friendly apartment complex that's decent. The one we're in now is around 650 square feet. We're hoping for a two bedroom if possible. We're also hoping for a safe neighborhood. Prefer the city life as we come from a city with over 150k+. But would consider anything down to around 50k, anything smaller and we'd both be a bit uncomfortable. We're a bit picky so I'm hoping we can at least find a few options down here.

Thanks :)
