Major help needed?

Yes, you signed a lease and are obligated to pay until the lease is expired and or give him 30 days notice and probably pay a fine and lose your security deposit, had you done that he couldn't go after your credit. He could report you to a collection agency which will call and call and write you and ultimately report you to the credit bureau. I would also not list this place on any future apartment leases because you would get a bad reference when they call, but they still might find out you lived there due to your credit history.

YES! You cannot just move out & not expect to pay for it. Moving out does not release you from financial obligation to your lease. A lease is a legally binding agreement. He has every right to sue you for breaking the lease. Your roommate can also sue you for your portion of the rent for any month they had to pay in full on their own.

Time to grow up & face the consequences of your actions.

EDIT: the worst he can do? Sue you, get a judgment on your record making it impossible to rent a decent place in the future and garnish your wages if you still fail to pay.

Breaking a lease is NOT something to take lightly!

Of course. You skipped out on your legal promise. That's what the lease is. You owe rent until the place is filled again. Your ex-roommate is also fully liable if she doesn't pay. Figure out how to pay.

The landlord can sue you for non payment of rent that you agreed to pay to him when you signed the contract. A contract is a legal document and you signed it. When the landlord gets judgement against you which he will because the right is on his side he will ruin your credit rating so that you can't get any credit and he will also make it very difficult for you to rent any where else in the future because the judgement and the credit rating will come up in all future checks on you.

Both landlord and former roommate can sue you for breaking the lease illegally.

Yes he can. You broke your lease, apparently. A lease is a legal contract - when you default on a contract, bad things happen.

Ok so I signed a lease for a year with another girl. We both got the apartment and our own rooms. I don't want to live there anymore cuz rent is too expensive so I moved back with my parents. The landlord is threatening to ruin my credit can he actually do anything ?
