From what I hear Ebay take a pretty big chunk out of any profits you make, and it's hardly worth doing it for the amount you're left with. However, if you are going to sell something make sure it's something niche and that you have an expertise in, i have a friend who makes good money selling rare types of wool on ebay, he's from a wool farming family so he knows his stuff, and he has a niche market that few other people compete in. If you were going to a shop to sell on products, clearance shops are fantastic, my local matalan clearance sells necklaces ect from 50pence.

alternatively you could make something and sell it.. e.g hair accessories

or you could specialize in something (e.g phone accessories) you can buy in bulk from china on ebay, then sell them individually yourself.. I buy 6 screen covers from china on ebay for something like 99p
