If your parents rent the apartment and then leave you there without a guardian, they are not only breaking the lease, they are breaking the law. It will likely fall under child endangerment.
John Ehret High School is in Louisiana, where the age of majority/emancipation is 18.

If your parents rent the unit and are not going to live there that is FRAUD! It is also illegal for you to rent a place in your name until you are 18.
you are asking for the impossible, 14 in a year or so? meaning you are not even 12 now? if so you are already in violation of the Yahoo rules
and if you are paying for this apartment where is the money coming from for you to pay?
you are likely not going to find any landlord who will rent to a minor, so rethink your 'plans' they are nearly impossible to fulfill.

This is really illegal, breaking several laws, some felonies. Your parent will end up in prison and you foster care.
No landlord would ever allow a 16 year old to live by himself on one of his properties since it is illegal. Your in dream world little one.
