If you are desperate to not have a random person assigned as your roommate, you might be able to pay extra for a single room. Contact Residential Life at the university if you want to pursue this option.
Most likely you will be assigned a roommate. That revoked acceptance will create an opening which will get filled quickly. There may be a waiting list for the dorm or there may be a waiting list to be accepted into the college. Don't get your hopes up about having your own room. Good luck.
It's possible. My freshman year we had a double room with 4 guys. Two left at end of semester, no replacements.
My guess is that you WILL end up with someone. Most places have people waiting for housing.
You will get a roommate...they will fill the room with either an incoming person off the wait list, someone who is on the dorm room waitlist, or someone who is a three-fer. Schools do not let unused beds go empty since that is a source of income. Give it48 hours and you will have a roommate.
I'll be an upcoming freshman soon this Fall, and yesterday, I found out that my current roommate won't be dorming with me anymore because her acceptance got revoked. As of now, I don't have a roommate, so I'm wondering if it's possible to not have a roommate at all? I might be paired up with someone on the wait list I think, but I thought that's kind of too soon or last minute since move in day and the first day of school is in 2 weeks. Do you think I will most likely not have a roommate for the semester or be paired up with someone?
