People love targeted information and opinions that focus on local issues delivered or available to them in the form of printed material. If you can distribute it into areas where people are already waiting (such as restaurants or Dr. Offices), people will read it. I print a newspaper for my church and it is incredibly well received. Advertising takes a lot of cold calling, hope you're not shy. You just have to go out and talk to people. There is something called SCORE in my area, it's retired businessmen who help you with new businesses. Maybe they are nationwide, or at least can help you online.
