Need help with an invention?

Your story is VERY VERY VERY common.. the 3D and EVERYTHING.. I am sorry to hear yet another victim of this all too common "taking advantage" of an inventor's desire to make a product come to reality. They will even say they will take it to shows and ask for more money to do so and that YOURS is the next big "thing", please send $5,000.....

FIRST thing to do is to have them send you EVERYTHING, then review it to make sure all is in order.. Email me if you have questions..

For the OTHERS who have been in the same jam consider the following:

Know about the Provisional Application for Patent that you can get immediately for only $65 (micro entity status) from the USPTO? That's what Apple does for nearly every patent they file!

If you PM me I can send you AWESOME links that show YOU how to do EXACTLY what you want to do...

You can ALSO go to Google and search Provisional Patent Video Course and find a course that shows how to do it.

I would like to give you a link to a very helpful page but when I do lawyers delete my emails. Instead you can either PM me and I can send you a link to a great free NDA that you can modify for your use. You can email me at dave.korpi@gmail.com and ask for a few links too!

At issue is you will want to learn the process so you can determine HOW you want to go about protecting your invention. The GREAT news is the USPTO will allow you to get your Patent Pending by filing a Provisional Application for Patent for a measly $65. The course shows you EXACTLY how to do that.

DO NOT share your invention with others until they sign an NDA.. Get one by PM'ing me and I will send you a link...

Good luck! You will ALSO find my email, dave.korpi@gmail.com, and phone number EVERYWHERE! So feel free to email or call!

You certainly took it farther than most people, it is unfortunate the some of those inventor assistance services are rather predatory in suggesting that any idea proposed is "Good" even if they think otherwise.

If you do have a valid patent and are not afraid to show it around you might setup a crowd funding project on a Kickstarter.com like site to get a production run made.

Certainly worth sending a sample to sellers like the Home Shopping Network.

Bear in mind a patent just protects a specific technical application, too commonly a product can be duplicated with technical differences enough to not violate the patent. Being the established "Original Brand" of some product provides equally important brand dominance, which makes it harder for clones to succeed.

Of course watching some episodes of Shark tank, available on Youtube can give you a better sense of how some of the products are brought to market.

Yeah. A 19 year old mother who is short on cash because she's a 19 year old mother wants to make her dreams come true by being an inventor. Just like Da Vinci!

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Unfortunately those "invent help" companies are there to make money from you. If you actually have a good idea, they will take it and patent it behind your back or pay you half of what they make from profit. The rest of the time, they will just try to charge you .

In reality, those who actually produce product do so by actually purchasing parts or getting directly set up at a factory. There is no "invent help" middle man.

I suggest you just try and make the product and sell it yourself. You might have to work out taxes in the end.

Yes, I'd be EXTREMELY interested in investing in an invention when I have NO idea what it is.

I hope CASH is acceptable if I don't ask for a contract!!!

It's hard to invent new things

Ok first of I'll let you know that I don't know anything about business and marketing. I'm just a 19 year old mom who has a dream and really bad financial problems. Here's the story I had came up with and idea in my head like 1 or 2 years ago and then one day on the internet I saw a link where they said they make your invention ideas a reality so I told them my idea they called me a month later and they said they were interested in my idea so I decided to go for it. They did the 3D design, the logo, personal website, and they patent my idea. My husband well boyfriend at the time invested over 4000 in the making of the idea but at the end when everything was done they only send me emails of companies I could email and refer them to my website, I was so disappointed because I though they will be the ones getting my idea out there in the market. After emailing a bunch of companies none of them seemed to be interested so I gave up but one day a company send me and email and said they could help me but I didn't have money to manufacture the product so they said I should wait a few years but I can't wait that long I'm in a really bad situation right now and I really was wishing for someone to be invest on my idea or at least help with some advice because I'm really desesperated. If anyone is intrested I could email you my personal website where it explain the concept of my idea. No rude answers please I already know I'm not educated in this subject. Thanks.
