Yes, yes, it will work. It's an amazing idea. You could design one for a door too so that burglars don't have to go to the bother of breaking and entering. This will be such a massive hit that I think you should definitely plough your life savings into it and perhaps even remortgage your house, borrow from every place possible and then get someone to make it for you.

Funnily enough I do actually make prototypes of this kind myself and would happily help but you would need to send me a deposit of at least 8 trillion pounds (GBP). Let me know when you're ready to proceed and I will start on it after your deposit is received. PS No guarantees of it working...it'll look similar to a black foldable sun screen but it won't be!

OK, picture a wall. You cannot climb over that wall, walk around that wall or go underneath that wall. You cannot walk around the Earth until you are on the other side of that wall either. You are trapped. This is where my new invention comes in handy! It's called the 'Wall Portal' (TM) and what it does is it acts as an opening in the wall to allow easy access to the other side. You swing open the lid and step through the 'Wall Portal' (TM) and BAM, you're on the other side!
