They may mean "sell" as in persuade, ie get more clients, so describe who they are ,what they do and why you should use them. Or they may mean "sell" the company as a going concern, which would be it is worth $$, you can buy it for XX, this is your ROI.
I'd focus on the one you are more comfortable to do and explain that you understood it could be taken in two ways and would normally always check with the client before preparing a briefing.
