You'll also have to find a landlord willing to rent to minors. Legally you cant be held liable to a lease as you're not seen as adults, so you have little chance of finding one.

$1,500 is reasonable most places. The pets will make it more expensive if you can find a place that allows them. Don't forget to budget for utilities, food, vet bills, pet food, transportation and personal care and if you want and can afford them cable tv, cell phones and internet.
