If you stay with the roommates, you'll be paying $450, so $550 less, and you'll be responsible for buying your own food either way.
Obviously, being a roommate makes better financial sense.
You would be paying $1000-$1250/month to stay at this hotel or $450 to live with a couple.
You could rent an apartment for $1000-$1250/month.
Before I made any decision, I would speak with the landlord of the "roommate" option. I would find out what this eviction notice is about. It's obviously a serious concern.
Without the eviction notice, unless I had a considerable amount of expendable income, I would go with the cheaper. If I could comfortably afford $1250/month, then I would prefer to live alone.
Take the hotel. It is more expensive but it is pretty obvious the couple will be getting evicted sooner than later. Plus they are likely trying to move you in without landlord approval. And realize the hotel can be as temporary as you want allowing you to move to a cheaper place when you are able to find one. I imagine the same $650 apartment the couple is living in now will be available very soon for you to rent all by yourself.
If you hold no issue with money, then take hotel because there is all facilities, but if you need cheaper than take the roommate option.
I'm trying to figure out which one i want to do. The hotel is 250 every week and the roommate is a couple and they want 450 a month....but their rent is 625. They have a 5 day eviction notice and they just moved there a month ago. They dont have everything they need for a house and they hardly have food. I dont know which to choose because at the hotel i will have a stove, washer, dryer, kitchen wifi and cable. They have all those things as well but the hotel is more expensive. Please help. Im trying to move but Thursday.
