SEO question about domains and linkjuice?

Subdomains are treated to some extent as a separate site, sites like Hubpages experimented with moving user accounts to separate subdomains to protect the main site from low quality content in these subdomains in an attempt to recover from ranking losses caused by the Panda filter.

Google announced some time after this that subdomains were going to be treated more like a part of the main site, but I have to believe they still don't pass link juice to the min site as well.

I would have everything on your main domain and not use subdomains. If it's only for tracking reasons you can use analytics tools such as Google Analytics which is free. This will be able to tell you how all of the traffic was refered on a daily basis.

Sub domains are considered as a different website so they will not be passing the link juice for main domain. However linking structure can pass some benefits.

Better to do link building for the link page you want to target at. Unless the subdomain contains 50% of your main page's keyword its not going to pass the juice.

For example

Shoe Store Barcelona - Main page

Discounted Shoe Store Barcelona - Sub page

I would personally link to your main to avoid possible confusion with Google. However, I have done both methods before in previous websites and they are just as good. If you choose to go with the sub domain I would make sure to make it look in terms of background, links and etc somewhat similar to your main.

For best WEB OPTIMIZATION results My spouse and i highly recommend making use of Google Search Bot: http://is.gd/gsbsoftware Employing this computer software We have graded our website to very first page of Google on a very high competing search term.

In SEO, if I have the domain rarebooks.com but I have a subsection of my site which is yahoo.rarebooks.com to track referred traffic from a partnership, will links to yahoo.rarebooks.com be as good for my rarebooks.com SEO? Or should I better by linking to just rarebooks.com?

Thanks
