Section 5 housing in Philadelphia?

Maybe you can be approved for Section 8 housing but it's doubtful.

For one thing the waiting list is years long. For another thing - people with children, the elderly and the disabled will always be higher on the list.

And another thing - even if you should get approved and get a place - girlfriend can't live with you - as only you would be approved and you can't move people in with you.

So you can apply - just be aware that you probably will not be approved and if you are - would be years before you got a place.

And why do I have a feeling this is a troll question anyway?

She cannot live with you in Section 8 housing unless you are married.

You as a single male will sit on a waiting list for years, preference is given to families, elderly, and disabled.

You may qualify for a section 8 program. The government does not build these homes- so they are only available if the owners wish tojoin that program. Most owners don't so there is a shortage and waiting list for those properties.call 211 (not 911) and ask them for who to contact in your area- but the waiting list will be very long.

You both sound disgusting. Section 8 housing is closed in most places and two unrelated people cannot be on the same voucher. You should get a job cleaning, yard work, maintenance, collecting rent in exchange for an apartment.

GLENN: In many cities, there is still public housing build in the 70s.

The wait lists for Sec 8 housing assistance in Philly are years long. As well, you are single and are low priority to receive such help. Preference for help is given to elderly, families and disabled.

Single, no kids, college means you don't qualify for section 8. You cannot have roommates either. You have to be married not shacking up.

So i need a place of my own with my Girlfreind. As beautiful as she is her teeth rotted from nobody teaching her to floss and vominiting from ovarion cancer and got it removed. Anyways parents are getting divorced and im the one with a job due to managers giving her a big fat No when she asks if hiring. She has applied for county assistance but they are taking centuries and making it immposible. Anyways from what i hear.. due to my limited income i can apply for section 8 housing so i can be provided with my own place until i get a career?
