Yes formal eviction is the next step. But before you can file you must issue the tenant a 3 day quit notice. This notice puts the tenant on notice that if they are not out by the end of the three days that you intend to file for eviction and is required by law. If the tenant leaves in time they avoid the consequences of eviction and the need to reimburse you for any expenses you incur tacked on to any other money already owed. Good Luck.
You evict him when he doesn't leave by the predetermined date. His inability to find a place is not your problem. He moves out whether he finds a new place or not.
If the termination was legit there really is nothing you can do, except find a new place.
If your tenant is still there at the end of the notice period, you will have to evict him through the courts. \
What do you mean, specifically.
If you are the tenant, and you've been given notice that your lease has been ended, you need to move.
If you are the LL, you need to prep the apartment and re lease the unit.
If you feel that you legal rights are being violated, either as a tenant or LL, you need to learn your laws and follow them.
