United funds of america help with apartment?

My daughter needs to find a place live just a small apartment close to her work.

cant pass back ground check. no rental history. Please help!

She needs to look for private landlords or rooms to rent rather than apartments on her own. Private landlords with rooms to rent are less likely to do a background check. Another option is to offer to pay a huge amount up front as either additional security deposit or like 6 months rent up front. Without the ability to pass a background check and no rental history, she has to do something to make herself more desirable to potential landlords, and money talks.

There really is no help for young able bodied people with no kids. Aid goes to elderly, disabled & families 1st. If she cannot clear a backgrounds check then she has to get a co-signer or pay a larger deposit. Any landlord that will accept her is not going to be a very nice place or be in the best neighborhood but its better than being homeless.

Look on craigslist for "no credit check" apartments. Keep in mind that those types of places are usually not in the nicest or safest areas of town and your daughter shouldn't expect any repairs to be made.

She may not find a place without a cosigner or even with if her criminal history exist. She may need to buy if she can't qualify to rent.

so I guess that means she continues to be homeless
