Web Experts I need help with my website?

1. You should probably focus on traffic and visitors before you start with the ads. Buy traffic or do the traffic generation yourself.

2. Here's a few suggestions:

- write articles with your links and submit them to directories

- use Facebook and Twitter

- find relevant blogs and comment

- join forums and start posting

- do email marketing

3: Add more content (articles, useful info etc)

If you are just starting up a website, i will suggest you do some SEO stuff and drive traffic. Wasting money on Google Ads is not worth it because you had just started your fresh website and need startup. Do Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, Classified Submission and Other Free marketing stuff is best way to get started.

Using wordpress is good, it can help new starters a lot. Anyways, you can put Google Adsense ads whenever you like but my advice is to place them after you get 100 unique visits per day.

You need to start working on SEO. For on-page seo install a couple of plugins: like a sitmap plugin, all in all seo plugin, and a cache plugin.

For off-page seo start building backlinks and I mean lots of them, you need to improve your ranks all the times, especially your positions in SERPs (search engine result pages).

1. I advise putting ads up right away. this will get visitors used to you ads, and it will bring in a couple bucks if you do it right. Putting up ads later will be more troublesome. The minimum traffic thing is a lie. I put adsense on a blog that had 35 pageviews and was an hour old!

2. Make social accounts, join forums and put your site link in you signature, write articles on squidoo and other sites, submit articles to digg, reddit; make an stumble account and do alot off stumbling to increase traffic to you own site.

3. Get a facebook facepile script and put it on you site to get more likes; maybe put a cbox; idk

There are many blogs already in this space starting with Lifehacker, Digital Inspiration, etc. These strongly rely on high volume publishing. To stand out pick your niche well (high enough traffic and low enough competition).

Set a publishing volume target e.g. 5 posts per week. You are basically in the content business so distributing content and getting it noticed are the keys. One of the most important steps is networking with and being noticed by important bloggers in your niche. So linking out is important.

Distribution: Your own social properties + facilitating sharing (twitter is missing when I checked)

Also make it easy to share on smaller (compared to FB) but important social sites e.g. reddit, stumbleupon, etc. MAke some screencast videos for tips or ppts to distribute on youtube, slideshare, etc.

Guest post once in a while on larger blogs (maybe tangential to your niche) which accept them for additional exposure. Do this with an approach to contribute to that blog and keep their audience in mind.

I found this link that should assist you. It give you tips and talks about some of the pitfalls of SEO
