Don't get a bank account. You're a minor, so your parents will have to cosign, which means they will have as much control over your money as you do. My advice would be to find a good hiding spot and keep it there. Living on your own can be very expensive, especially if you only have a part-time or minimum wage job. The key is to budget everything. Put money aside for bills, money into a college fund, and allow yourself a certain amount of spending money. Save everything you can. Good luck!

Some Bank's could open account for Minors without a parent cosigner, it would be their policy if they were to do so, so you would have to research. There is a chance they might not be available in your area

I'm Currently sixteen and on my way to Junior year in high school. I do not have the greatest relationship with my parents so, I wish to move out during my second semester. I am looking for a summer job at them moment.Other than not having a job I only have one problem, I don't know how to manage money so well and was wondering if there is anyone willing to help me out?
