Yes they still must give you a proper notice to vacate. They may be hoping you find a place before it sells so its vacant. With no current lease you can give them 30 days notice to move at any time as well.

My landlord is selling the house i currently rent, i dont have a problem with this as we intended on moving out, just need to find another house. Ive looked at the listing for the house on the internet and it mentions early vacant possession. Our tenancy agreement has run out but we are currently on a month by month agreement. If the house sells do i still get a 30 days notice to move out? Im not too bothered as it only went up for sale a few days ago and we hope to move soon.
