Business studies is more concerned with the actions and decisions taken by firms and focuses on topics such as marketing, staff in the organisation, accounting and finance, management, strategy and production methods. Business studies students will also have to cover some Economics, as it affects how businesses operate in their external environments.
Economics is a little less bullshit if you take math, stats, and programming. If you major in economics, do a double major with math or engineering or computer science or something else that will qualify you for a job.
Business can get you a job but majoring in business is sort of a waste. Get a master's if you want business.
I have three business degrees and with all three degrees I took economics courses. If you are going to major in HR and Business and Econ classes should be part of your coursework.
