So, you have two options - water under the bridge and move on, or find another place to live with a larger room.
If you wanted to be sure of having the larger room, you should have given the LL a deposit check
2 years ago and got a receipt. Since you did nothing, you have no rights whatsoever.
What makes you think you can kick the new tenant out? You are NOT entitled to anything.
Nothing you can do LL owns the place. Nothing in writing, nothing more.
You have no entitlement to the other room. You can either stay in the same room or find somewhere else to live.
Maybe landlord doesn't like you - nothing you can do - he doesn't HAVE to listen to your requests
Welcome to renting. Sorry
So I rent a small apartment room for about 20 months now. There is a bigger one, but the old tenant is not out yet. So I told my landlord that I want to move to the bigger room once the old tenant is out. I feel that I've told him quiet often even the old tenant was telling him that I will be the one who move to her room. I've told him in between time until the old tenant out. So the last time I told him was a month I told him that the old tenant is going to out, so I am going to move to her room. He said okay, he was even asked me what color do I want for the room bcs he's going to repaint it.
And suddenly my housemate said there will be a new tenant along with her daughter living in the room that I want. So I talked to him yesterday. He said that I never said clearly that I want it (which I think it's crap bcs I told him pretty frequently) and so he gave up the room for the new tenant.
I was very angry and I want him to be responsible for his words, but I've just saw the new tenant today. They seem nice and polite and I don't have a heart to kick them out from that room. But I am still angry, bcs I want the room so bad. I've been waiting for almost 2 years and now he gave up the room to new tenant jst like that.
What should I do?!?!?!?!?!??!!?
