a blog is like a journal but only online. People use it either to share their own thoughts or to promote products which makes them money. Some combine the two and make some big money LOL. With blogs, for the most part they are free and anyone can start.
Website: can be about anything really. The world is your imagination. The big difference between blog and a website is that for a website you need to register it, but a domain name and pay a monthly fee.
