When you buy land,...... home.. Questions HELP?

"Start making payments." You mean payments on the purchase of the land? Getting a loan for vacant land isn't always easy, but if a seller wants to finance you, then you'd start making payments, but you'd want the deed up front, i.e., pay back the loan to buy the deed, not paying on a contract to obtain the deed at the end.

Once your name is on the deed you would be billed for property taxes (annual, semi-annual or quarterly, according to local rules).

As mentioned by others, not all land is appropriate for a dwelling, let alone a mobile home. Try to buy land that has already been approved for the purpose you plan to use it for. It's possible to buy land in a subdivision built especially for mobile homes, having a common water/sewer system and whatnot, rather than having to figure out how to do your own.

Local conditions determine how much land you might need for a septic system, which can be as small as a half an acre. We can only guess, since you didn't say the land is rural or urban.

Local zoning ordinance would generally prohibit subdivision of land into parcels that are unusable for a dwelling in a residential zone. For instance, "no less than two acres, except no less than 0.3 acres for lots having deeded access to an existing, approved septic system or municipal sewer." There may be other exemptions, such as allowing a "closed" system (holding tank) if you're only using it on weekends...

you can't just put a mobile home anywhere, some counties restrict where they can be put. Not all land is buildable, If it is rural you need to have a state approved septic system, if the land is too wet, it won't drain, can cause way too much money, and you will also need a well, and it costs to have electricity run So before you buy any land make sure it is a piece that has at least been perk tested( rated for drainage for septic) and that it is zoned residential. Once you pay for the land( you need at least a 25% downpayment for most loans, you pay tax on the land it may be annually, or quarterly depending on the town or the lending bank may make it part of your loan payment and pay them directly to be sure they are paid timely,. then you pay taxes on it until you sell or die

Actually you can't move a trailer onto most land.

You need at least 1 acre for a septic tank, and you aren't getting an acre for 4,000. Besides, the septic tank is close to 30k installed.

You need a new plan. This one is a bad one.

in what country?

in USA , 4000 u pay cash - nothing else.

skip buying anything until out

of college 2- 5yrs.

a 3000$ mobile trailer isn't worth living in most places.

smarter move is a library card and renting until u learn

lots more.

4000$ land will not get u much in most places.

it will NOT cover your trailer setup connections permits etc either.

Property taxes are yearly or bi annually (every 6 months)

I am looking at some land that cost 4000$

If I start making payments...

then what? Do I pay taxes

monthly, yearly?

Then once it's paid for then what?

As a college student I might make payments, and move a mobile home on it 3000$

What am I looking at as an adult?

I have two numbers...but I don't know what I would be getting myself into, I know electricity, gas sewage has to be done, but any thing else DURING PAYMENTS? AND AFTER ITS ALL PAID FOR?

hard decision between this and apts
