Why should the buyer leave feedback?
(Personally as a buyer I NEVER read a sellers feedback)
When I buy something I expect the seller to send it within 7 days. It dont bother me if there is a problem and they cant so long as they let me know when it WILL be sent
Whats there to leave feedback about?
The seller fulfilled his side of the bargain, thats all that I required from him.
And its of no interest to me what MY feedback is
The ONLY times I have left feedback is when the seller did not keep his side of the bargain (either didnt send the goods or sent fake ones)
I've been buying and selling on eBay for 14 years, and I have no idea where you got this notion. As a seller, I leave feedback when I receive payment. As a buyer, I leave feedback when I am satisfied that the product does what it is supposed to do.
I never leave feedback as a buyer. Nowhere does it say I should leave feedback never mind that I should as you put it 'leave feedback first'.
without buyers, you have stock gathering dust, generating no profit and your time is unpaid
if feedback is so important to you, follow the supermarkets and offer an incentive
As having experience of buying and selling on ebay I find it strange that buyers wait to receive feedback before they leave there own. Surely it makes sense for the buyer to leave feedback first. If i'd sold an item I would not leave feedback until the transaction was complete, i.e. the buyer had notified me through feedback that they had received the item and were happy with it. If the seller were to leave feedback first how would they know the buyer had even received the item. I think this should be stated in the ebay rules. Come on buyers, sort it out, you know you should leave feedback first.
