If you are offered $3000 then you are lucky. If there are places that offer more than a Rolex dealer, then they must be secret, because I have not heard of any.
Your only hope is eBay.
There are far too many used Rolex to be had. The idea that they have good resale value is urban legend. If you bought the watch today, and walked right across the street to another dealer to sell it, you will get well below half what you paid for it.
