It's great that you've taken the time to do a bit of research on this before leaping in. I've linked to a fantastic - and very funny - video about the 4 things you need to consider when deciding on a blog topic.
Make sure you don't make the same mistakes Alex makes...!
Hope this helps!
I also have a blog.
To get started i looked at my hobbies and values and what I like.
I looked at current affairs, Music and fashion.
1. Blog photos (eye catching ones) no one wants a boring blog
2. DO things your way and inspire people with your perspective, fashion style and music
3. Have an intended target audience
4. people love travel so post some pics of places you've been.
5. People like routine so make sure your bog is like a journal (i did a fashion journal on my outfits that week and had different styles each week and evaluated them and talked about the comfort and all)
Good Luck! Happy Blogging! :D
Choosing the right blog topic is easily one of the hardest aspects of starting a blog - because if you get it wrong, your blog is almost certainly doomed to have a small audience and earn little or nothing.
you can create blog getting yourself registered on sites like webpole You can start blogging by creating your account on Word press or blog spot.
You have several options if you want to be a fashion blogger or a lifestyle blogger and then inject topics such as health, technology, or whatever other mix you want to inject. You need to do your research and plan out things.
You need to ask yourself questions whether this will just be a personal blog or will you be designing it to generate income for you. If you are going for the latter, then you have to consider the design, hosting, marketing, and of course, content. If you cannot generate enough content then you have to build a team of very good writers.
Once you have started your blog, then you have to think of how you will keep your audience excited and coming back for more, how will you grow your audience, and what gimmicks can you do to spark interest on the Web.

you can create blog getting yourself registered on sites like webpole You can start blogging by creating your account on Word press or blog spot. And after getting login you need to write a good quality content, what should be meaningfull, informative and arrond to 500 words. Please keep in mind that "content is King". So don't use any type of copy or bad content otherwise it would be very harmful for your blog. To be any measurable success pick a topic, sort of like a magazine theme and stick to it, self indulgent diary sort of site tend to not develop a great following and are harder for search engines to categorize. Health-fitness and fashion would probably be best served by 2 different blogs, though some workout fashion wold fit into the former.
Treating a blog like a publishing business, adding original quality content a couple of times a week, would help keep the search engines interested, and with some SEO effort should gradually grow search engines traffic.
Getting a custom domain name costing about $12/yr would be a step toward looking more professional and gives you the ability to change hosts wile retaining the site address. Many free hosts charge an upgrade fee for using a custom name, because it loses then ad revenue in some cases, Google's Blogger.com is one example that has no upgrade fees, and allows Adsense ad revenue without taking a cut like some other free hosts do.
