advice
You've got a good voice. You're relating to people in your age group and who think similar things to you.
I like how you say it's not about getting smashed... "Whilst I sometime wish that was true, there's a lot of work that needs to be done too."
That's great! It's honest and it relates to people who are also hard-working and responsibly thinking like yourself. You follow that up with another very honest thought that a lot of people can relate to (the fear of being with least intelligence or experience).
Are you writing to share your experiences and your passions?
Do you want to later "monetize" your blog and sell things from it (whether it be products from Amazon, affiliate products, network marketing, or your own products or services (such as tutoring))?
This is something to think about, because a blog can become a source of revenue and profit for you down the line.
Your blog can not only bring in money but it can bring in reputation and influence to you... and as we all know (I hope), these are more valuable than money in the long run because you can get money FROM them!
The more passionate you are about what you're blogging about the better.
Again, you've got a great voice.
Your posts can be as short or long as you want. You've already got a great topic/theme, so you know who you're most likely to reach (or who you're aiming for).
ADVICE:
I have two pieces of advice for you. The first advice is to break up your paragraphs (if you want). Put more white space in there.
Do one or two sentences per line. It's easier to read that way (even though you're writing for college students who should be able to read whole books with little white space).
~~~ EXAMPLE ~~~
... Your original paragraph:
Rocking up in September the fear of being the student with the least intelligence or experience is a daunting thought, and for the first term you'll probably feel as though that it is you. BUT don't worry by the second term people begin to express themselves in real time, without trying to exert all their knowledge to you just to 'impress'. It does sometimes make you doubt yourself as to 'is this the course for me?' But seriously stick at it, if you want to pursue it you can do it!
...
... I would change it to:
(but that's just me!) :-)
~~~ END EXAMPLE ~~~
Blogging, or journalling, is a GREAT way to improve your communication skills, relate to people, network, and develop your writing skills.
Think of it... by blogging regularly for a year, you're improving YOUR soul, your mind, your heart, your skills, and you can take those later in life and write books, white papers, articles, essays, studies, and anything else you want.
These are skills that are EXTREMELY valuable in the real world, globally. This is one of the reasons I love blogging so much, and advocate it to all people who have a propensity for writing (and even those who don't). Anyone can learn to write and own themselves and basically write their own checks.
It's not just the skill that comes with getting good at writing and relating to people. It's also the inner satisfaction and confidence that comes from expressing yourself.
OK, those last four "paragraphs" said, my second piece of advice is to do it consistently. Consistency, consistency, CONSISTENCY.
It's key. It's key to ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in this existence on Earth.
Do it regularly. You will SOAR.
I recommend reading The Slight Edge for an in-depth look at the power of consistency.

Plus, consistency is a perfect topic for your Uni blog, since Uni takes consistently showing up to class, doing homework for 2-4 hours a day, etc.
Sweet! Perfect!
OK, that's all.
No wait, there's this: keep doing what you're doing! Great job.
Alright... one more piece of advice... stay on topic. Since your blog is about Uni, don't go writing about cats or your favorite kind of toast unless it applies to your topic.
Hope this helps. :-)
