Can I erase my results off Internet search engines?

Is there a company that can remove your results from search engines? I made some mistakes in my past and feel like they are haunting me still

There are reputation management services who use various means to make such information less visible, if their lawyers and crisis negotiators can resolve it, their last resort is to crate new positive content that pushes the bad results off of page 1.

Generally you have to remove the offensive material at the source, Google is just indexing public material, losing passwords to accounts so you can no longer prove that you created some content, complicates matters.

No.

Some search engines will remove proprietary intellectual property, or pretty much any information, if you contact them and demonstrate that you are the owner of the content, but one very important life lesson that many people have yet to learn is, putting something on the internet makes it potentially available to everyone in the world, forever.

Chances are there is another way to deal with this mistake, besides continuing to put effort into hiding it.

There are some companies who can try, but people will always be able to find it somewhere.
