ebay, and Amazon, can be a good way to make money, but to make any substantial gains you need to sell things that are unique. With certain things, like games or books, a lot of other people will be selling the same things so you will have to lower your price, maybe even too much to make it worth-while. You will probably do better if you make things to sell, or find rare clothing or items every Tom, Dick and Harry can't find.

There's fees to sell on eBay so you'd have to incorporate that into your price. Most used clothing, or shoes (unless your stuff is high end like Givenchy or YSL or something) will automatically sell for pretty low. Plus if you're new to eBay or haven't sold before, you might have a selling limit. There's also shipping charges that people will have to pay on top of the price of the item itself. I'd try selling on Craigslist or something first.

I am 21 and full time college. I was doing some spring cleaning and found BUNCH of stuff I don't need let alone use anymore. Most of it is clothes likes shoes, sweaters, games some of them are still new with the tag on it others are used. Can I sell these on ebay? Would people buy them? I will mostly be selling some of my shoes which have been used, but I may have only worn them like 1-4x at most. In one of my shoes the soles is a bit worn out, but the outside design of the boots look like brand new. What should I do?
