If the work is more about the facts of writing instead of the passion you can share with others to enjoy also it becomes a challenge to have hem see your views of things.
If one person writes a book, the public will read it. But if the public writes a book then no one will read it. Hold an open book towards them and sure they will take a glance at it. Read the book as if it is holding more than just words jumbled together to say something meaningful and they will have to listen as try pass by. The public wants to be amazed and it usually starts with two people who each knows two other and so forth.
Do all that you can do then do it over again, go over all you have done to ensure a good reading and create new ways to introduce it to the public. Use twists and plots to hook them in, make it simple and definite to your purpose of having written it in the first place.

I just entered my story into a social writing contest called America's Next Author, but I'm having trouble getting votes. I have been to every website I can think of, I've used Facebook, and I've been to a few forums. I don't know what else to do. The contest is only open for another four weeks and if I don't get more votes soon, then I won't have a chance at winning. I've tried so hard and I'm really proud of my story. This is my first step toward publication. Please help.
