Copyright and laws in blogging?

Writing about a business or product is fine as long as you don't use their media without permission. ie: sending them an email and asking them.

Here's a little tip, if you want to review products, business etc, do it as an affiliate. You can sign up for free to Clickbank or Commission Junction, find products you want to review and write up your blog review putting in your affiliate link at the bottom.

Whatever the product is you're an affiliate of, you'll ususally get full access to media and logos etc.. to use on your blog.

You can do a review of the product or business and make some money. Win win situation:)

depends on which kind of stuff it is!

if it is media (music, movie, etc) and you are going to upload it for free download and add a "review" next to it, well! they won't be fool and it is against copy right.

(if you want to review the multi media stuffs, you shouldnt upload it ALL, you can just play some parts of it as sample)

in PRACTICE nobody may care what you do. specially when it comes to music. we have hundred of thousands weblogs who directly just upload music, nothing else.

but if you want to be completely "legal" then its that.

about tools, cars, and such stuffs, you dont need any concern, you can review them in anyway you like.

You can write about products, thats no problem. You can't copy someone else's writeups though and put them as your own.

no problem unless u won't copy others information

hey, ok so I was wondering could anyone help me out with details or let me know who to contact about copyright laws. basically I want to set up a blog and in the blog I want to review business's and products by them. does anyone know if there are any laws on this? do I need permission from each individual business before I review/mention their products?

thanks :)
