Entirely dependent on both the item/service as well as the entity providing the item/service, but yes I have no reason to not trust them to be an accurate reflection of the reviewer's opinion (whether that opinion is valid is an entirely separate question)
It is easy to identify. If they are negative about the goods, they are giving there honest feedback. If not, they trying to sell de same good for comissions.
