No, tell her to go through eBay to pay. She clicks "pay now" alongside the item she won /bought. It automatically takes her to the PayPal website where she logs in and pays you. It's not correct to pay outside eBay and she could be trying to do scam you or get you into trouble with eBay if you don't follow the correct procedure. She may not know that this is how you pay, so advise her of the correct way. Some scammers are sending fake PayPal receipts making it look like they have paid but they haven't. Always log into the website properly, never via links from emails. Scammers have got very clever and tricky!
Did they pay for your item via PayPal?
Then they would receive an invoice from PayPal saying "YOu just sent you@yahoo.com a payment for $X.00."
If you gave them an option, then they need your PayPal email.
Yes it is safe but if you feel uncomfortable just ask them to pay for the item in the usual way.
If they were paying through the usual ebay method it would give them access to your paypal address anyway.
I don't think it is I'm not sure o havent got ebay I've got an amazon account & I havent got a PayPal card.
Go with you gut feeling
You're new and the buyer knows it (little or no feedback/joining date will give the game away).
If you sold through ebay, the buyer will have received an e-mail from ebay with the info they need. You don't need to provide anything.
no then ebay will not know that she paid
Ok so someone has bought the item I was selling. I sent them an invoice with payment details. However, they requested my PayPal email directly. Is that safe?
