you need to send the item back before you get a refund.
usually it's only the amount you paid for the item that is refunded, you don't get the postage costs that you paid for them to send it or the costs of you send it to them back.
it's a good idea to send a 'recorded' type delivery, this way you have the items weight on the recipt and proof that they got it.
You cant get a refund until the seller gets the item back.
I would let them refund you first so that you make sure 1.they don't keep both the product and your money and 2.so you don't pay the shipping
