If you have some money to start with, you could try printing T-shirts with pictures of whales, dolphins, adorable sea otters, etc. and selling them. You could also try holding an event, for instance a dance or dinner where the proceeds go to Sea Shepherd.
If you don't have a lot of money to start with, what about getting a group of friends together and mowing lawns/shoveling snow, etc. like a regular job, except when looking for customers let them know that the proceeds are going to charity. People like that, and might even be willing to pay more if they're supporting a good cause and getting something out of the bargain.

I have to raise money and promote awareness for Sea Shepherd's... it's a non-profit, marine conservation organization that protects whales and marine life.
