The phone my friend; one on one time with a potential client can't be beat. Create a few packages that make sense to you for time spent. A starter script in hand jump on maps search for clients without a website attached and give them a call. Be honest show them your unique selling proposition and you will get clients. Hint: attaching a business name help instead of the "I'm a freelancer..."

hi, my name is first last calling from company name where we specialize in ...

things to look for when selecting prospects;

- high sale value

- decision maker is easy to get in touch with

- business model that depends on leads for growth

chiropractors / wedding planner / photographers / massage therapists

Call local their dying for this service. Best of luck.

I suggest you advertise your business first. Look for directories and companies that doesn't yet have a website then send them a Direct Mail Advertising Letter with your proposal. :) You can check Print and Mail 4 U in google to learn more about this kind of advertising :)

Better search Google, you may get there a lot graphic design as a free lancer.

Starting a new graphic design business online, but I've never marketed a graphic design business and don't really know where the best place to find customers is. I would figure it out as I go but I don't have much money to spend to "trial and error" my demographics, so in order to get a jump-start I wanted to know how or where I could find some clients.
