Have you ever won any major sweepstakes?

Like from restaurants, food & beverage products, etc..

I think most of them are fake and they only use them as a way to sell their products more.

They are totally fake. They just gather your data like email address, house address, income, etc etc. Then they use that data to market their products. Advertising requires data collection and it is costly. So they get it for free by fooling people of sweepstakes.

Also notice, its never announced who won sweepstake. If it was real, they would disclose there is an actual winner and it would be in some local paper or media.

In malls and pizza shops, and various places you use these small slips that you fill. It is total waste of time and fraud

Don't believe the person above me who answered. He is lying through his teeth. Tell him to show one relevant link where a sweepstake winner was announced. He probably works for advertising company and wants to misguide people so they continue sending their data

This is how it works. They want to know your household income. And then they stack those highest household income slips based on zip code. Then they see which stack piles the tallest. And they market their products in that jurisdiction frequently then. Its basically a demographics study they are doing, since that's required in business

No, I have not, only some clothes once from a Men's Shop, (sent in a small entry from a free local paper.) But all the major ones, have the information in the small print where to write for the finalist, and winners to be advertised, in names, they send out the information if one sends in a self addressed request.

The legitimate ones run by major companies aren't fake. They make all their winners' information public, as required by law. But if several million people enter a contest and there's only one grand prize winner, that means there are millions of people who don't win.

The odds are vastly against you in any sort of sweepstakes or lottery, even if it's 100 percent legit.

EDIT: Seriously, dude? You think I work for an advertising agency? Really? Anyway, here's the type of information you claim doesn't exist:

In the US, companies are required by law to make the names of their grand prize winners available to the general public.

If I did, I would be in the Caribbeans right about now... let me double-check that... desk to the right, desk to the left... nope! No tequilas and no sand... must be my office, then. :P

Honestly, I have the same suspicions as yourself.
