Ever wonder how you can grow your channel and videos to improve your content ratings and even develop a fan base? Well here are a few simple tips that help you get discovered throughout the YouTube Community! You might know of these already or think they don't help but they have proven effective for me(:
1. Make and Link a Twitter/Facebook page with your YouTube -
When you subscribe someone, you can chose to have an email sent to you whenever the person you subscribed does certain activity within YouTube. When you link your Twitter and Facebook with your YouTube, anybody who likes/follows your page can see whenever you upload or like a video, even comment on a video! You can change what gets shared to the pages on your YouTube in the privacy settings on your YouTube Settings tab. Remember that if you use a Twitter to post actively and tweet to other people!
2. Commenting on videos and channels, communicating with others, being polite with other Youtubers, and Networking/Partnering with other active uploaders who share relative content with YOU! -
Ok, when I say "Partnering" I don't mean applying for partnership with major gaming networks. I mean partnering up and supporting another person who has similar content and have them return the favor. Sometimes you might do videos together, or something as small as a channel shout out. If you comment on a video, don't do those things like "hey everyone check me out", because people hate seeing comments like that and instantly move on to another video or comment. Be polite and start communicating with the uploader. Saying something like "hey I like your video, I even subscribed, maybe you could return the favor if you like my content?", is way more effective than "check me out guys!". If you just work with the rest of the community then the community will work with you! It just takes a bit of effort and manners(:
3. Video Responses and getting your videos seen -
Sometimes this trick is hard, because other people have to approve of your content. If you have a good video that is similar to another video, viral or not, use it as a video response! If the author approves, your video will now be linked between the description and comments section. So if you post a response, use a clever and catchy title that brings in the readers eye, because chances are if they like the video they are watching, then they might want to see the same thing with a twist on it. This also works with your own videos because you can have your viewers go from one video from the next, and keeps your fans/subscribers interested. If someone posts a response on your video, approve of it, your video shows up on theirs as well
Post on websites such as facebook just to get the views up if anything your friends and family will look at a video just to be nosy but at least youll get some good views. Also try writting something funny or interesting on popular youtube videos suttley hinting to look at your videos dont sound pushy and someone's bound to take a look also make interesting titles that will make people want to discover whats up with the name such as"peanutbutter belly smash" humans by nature are drawn to things out of the ordinary chances are if you see a title named "Hello" versus a title that says "Walnuts in my socks" which would you be more curious as to click?
