How do I create a website with URL .org?

CoffeeCup software offers custom .org domains at a reasonable cost. If you use their hosting service you can even get the domain name for free.

A website is neither for profit nor "nonprofit".

It is one marketing tool of many businesses and organizations.

A nonprofit corporation is a legal entity.

Creating one is a very complex and expensive legal process.

Only an adult can do this.

No, your mommy can not do it for you.

You must file Articles of Incorporation in your home state, verify that the name you choose is available, apply to the IRS for tax exempt status, obtain an EIN, state solicitation license, and sales tax exemption certificate, create a board of directors, elect board officers, establish a place of business, adopt by laws, hold regular board meetings, keep publicly-available minutes of those meetings, and file umpteen financial reports with local, state, and federal government agencies.

THEN you can begin to collect money for your activities.

If you don't do that, you do not have a nonprofit.

You have a hobby.

And you can go to jail for soliciting without a license.

There are plenty of organizations already doing the work you want.

Find one.

volunteer.

Would need to register your domain name. Go to www.whois.org, and lookup whether your name is available, then click the register or buy link. It's not expensive, and then you become the owner of that domain name. You can choose what extension you need (.org, .net., .edu, etc).

Then you'll need a web host, and of course a website.

You won't find anyone giving you a website with the .org extension at the end because they can't.

You should go to a domain registrar sites like hostGater, BlueHost, Godaddy. You can register with org.

Go to Godaddy, namecheap to register your own domain name with .org extension.

It's similar like .com so you should go domain and hosting providers.

I have an amazing idea for a website I would like to create. It would be nonprofit, so I would like to use the URL .org. Every site I try wants to add their own .(name) after whatever I want my URL to be, and I ONLY want .org. Please do not answer with help on anything else. Thank you.
